Obituary: R.I.P. Carol Jarecki

We share with deep regret the news of the passing of AI Carol Jarecki, a prominent chess figure. Carol was the British Virgin Islands Chess Federation delegate, a member of the FIDE Rules Commission and International Category A Arbiter.

She was an arbiter in many events include the match in 1995 in New York City held at the top of the World Trade Center, between  Garry Kasparov and challenger Viswanathan Anand.

Jarecki passed away in her sleep in June 2021 at the age of 86.. We extend our condolences to his family.
